After OMAR and a BID have agreed to act as lead sponsors of a particular consensus development conference, other BIDs and other agencies may agree to cosponsor the event (OMAR, NIH, 1988). The OMAR coordinator, the BID coordinator, and representatives from other sponsoring organizations meet to discuss the potential scope and date of the conference.
